The Chemical Feed Calibrator (also known as the RTW model) predicts typical water quality characteristics such as pH, hardness, alkalinity, and the scaling potential Langelier Saturation Index (LSI)) based on changes in operating conditions. It also evaluates how treatment changes may impact finished water quality and is particularly useful in evaluating blended water quality conditions. It can also be used to determine solubilities for metal coagulant addition, oxidant dosage calculations, determine sodium hypochlorite dose and determine coagulant doses for jar testing and full-scale application.
